Eligibility Criteria

Passing in PUC /10+2 with Biology as compulsory subject. Scoring at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) from any recognized Board /Council or any other qualification recognized as equivalent there to.


Nutrition and Dietetics is an integrated programme that prepares students to become professional nutritionists and dieticians and explores how it affects the health of people while understanding and discovering how diet can be used in the treatment of diseases. Through this programme, students will learn to apply nutritional science to treat medical conditions and contribute to improving overall health.

As a dietitian, a student will work with people to help them modify their food intake and offer practical advice to enable them in making dietary changes.

With a sedentary lifestyle and neglect towards fitness, nutrition and dietetics are gaining supreme importance and have become a vital profession with ample career opportunities. After graduating, a candidate has both self-employment and job opportunities open. A candidate can choose to start his/her own nutrition clinic and become self-employed, or can apply for the position of nutritionist and dietician in various hospitals, gyms, and healthcare clinics.

The internship/training programme with various hospitals and food industries provides opportunities to practice and master the core competencies for coveted jobs.
