Passing in PUC /10+2 with Biology as compulsory subject Scoring at least 50% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) from any recognized Board /Council or any other qualification recognized as equivalent there to.

Overview

B.Sc. at REVA UNIVERSITY is a three-year bachelor’s degree programme through six semesters. It is a combination of triple major subjects which emphasizes studies related to the field of Biotechnology, Microbiology, Engineering, and Chemical Sciences. The programme has a wide scope is designed to produce graduates with higher order critical, analytical, problem solving and research skills; ability to think rigorously and independently to meet higher level expectations of biotech industries, research organization and academic institutions. The programme also provides sufficient skills and training on entrepreneurship development in Biotechnology. The programme deals with courses on Cell Biology, Microbiology, Genetic Engineering, Biochemistry; Medical, Animal, Forensic and Environmental Biotechnology, biochemical techniques and processes, entrepreneurship, and many other related courses. The curriculum is designed to aid students for employability and higher studies.

After successful completion of the program, the graduate will be able to:

PO 1 Science knowledge:

Apply the knowledge of life science for the solution of complex problems in various domains including healthcare considering public health & safety and the cultural societal & environmental concerns.

PO 2 Problem analysis:

Identify, formulate & analyses problems related to various domains of life sciences relevant to biotechnology, genetics, and biochemistry.

PO 3 Conduct investigations of relevant problems:

Use basic knowledge including analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions and to carry out the research procedures.

Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern technology which in turn benefit the society.
