Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in India or abroad. In addition, applicants should have a minimum of five years of formal learning experience under a reputed institution or Guru, or possess an undergraduate degree in Performing Arts.

The Master of Performing Arts is a distinctive two-year postgraduate programme that offers advanced training in various art forms through an integrated practical and theoretical approach. Emphasizing intensive research, critical inquiry, and creative exploration, the programme fosters the holistic development of the artist-scholar. Apply comprehensive knowledge of performing arts—including world dance and music history, art history, tangible and intangible heritage, and cultural studies—to address complex artistic and societal issues.

Conduct systematic research using appropriate methodologies, data analysis, and interpretative frameworks to generate valid conclusions in performance, theory, and cultural studies.

PO 3 Creative Design and Innovation

Design and develop original choreography, compositions, and theatrical works with artistic integrity, critical insight, and professional competence by integrating theory and practice.

Select and effectively use appropriate digital tools, technologies, and contemporary production techniques to enhance artistic creation, documentation, and dissemination.
