Introduction:
The “Connect, Learn & Grow – Alumni Mentoring for Freshers” programme was organised by the School of Management Studies to provide freshers with an opportunity to interact and learn from experienced alumni. The session focused on helping students understand academic expectations, campus life, career opportunities, and industry requirements through the real-life experiences and professional journeys of alumni.
The interaction encouraged students to seek guidance, build confidence, develop career awareness, and establish meaningful mentor–mentee connections that can support their academic and professional growth.
Purpose/Objectives:
- To help freshers understand academic expectations and campus life through alumni experiences.
- To provide career guidance and insights into higher education, internships, and industry opportunities.
- To motivate students by sharing alumni success stories and professional journeys.
- To encourage networking and build lasting mentor–mentee relationships between alumni and freshers.
- To enhance students' confidence, career awareness, and preparedness for future professional growth.
- To create opportunities for mentorship, internships, placements, and career guidance for students.
Event Outcomes:
- Freshers will gain valuable insights into academic planning, career opportunities, and industry expectations from alumni.
- Students developed greater confidence and motivation through interaction with successful alumni.
- Stronger networking and mentor–mentee relationships were established between alumni and freshers.
- Participants became more aware of higher education, internships, skill development, and career pathways, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future.
