Emergining Digital Technologies In Heritage

A two-day Conclave on EMERGING DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN HERITAGE is conducted by School of Architecture, REVA University on 8th & 9th May 2026, to transition India’s architectural heritage from passive digital documentation to active Physical Prototyping. By integrating multi axis Stone CNC Carving and 3D Concrete Printing (C3DP), this project positions REVA University at the forefront of the Indian Digital Heritage legacy, moving beyond "Digital Twins" into the era of robotic craftsmanship.

The conclave spread on 2 days not only introduced audience to the relationship between heritage & technology but also has encouraged to think critically about how digital tools can document, preserve & re imagine cultural narratives for the future. The technical sessions by experts gave good insight on preservation/restoration /virtual reality in various sessions by experts Dr. Sharada Shrinivas, Dr. Maniyarasan, Dr. Shiva Ji , Dr. Rajani, Uday Kumar.P.L, and Ar. Shivadeepthi.

The participants and experts also visited Centre of Excellence (COE) by Divyasree and observed stone engraving by 6-axis Stone CNC Carving and 3D Concrete Printing (C3DP) Modelling.
