The School of Management Studies, Under SPARSH and POSH initiative, organized an inspirational and awareness talk by Women Leaders titled “Empowered Women, Empowered Nation: Building Barriers, Building Futures” on March 12, 2026 at Swami Vivekananda Block, REVA University. The event aimed to inspire, empower and educate students about gender equality, inclusiveness, mental health and women empowerment and appreciate the need for equal opportunities and respect for women in all professions.
The event brought together distinguished women leaders as resource persons, Madam Mishi, Deputy Command Judge and Advocate, HQ Training Command, IAF, Bangalore and Dr M Manjula, Prof of Clinical Psychology, NIHAMS, Bangalore to address the students. Madam Mishi narrated critical events where, such as Traffic Controller has to take few emergency decisions on regular basis, and also instated on Sound Physical and Mental Health for quick and effective decisions. Dr Manjula addressed the students, drawing on her expertise in clinical psychology at NIMHANS to speak on the psychological resilience on women, the challenges they face, and the importance of mental well being. The event brought concluded with vote of thanks, extending gratitude to all the faculty co ordinators, student volunteers, the sponsor and all participants.
